The steam generating iron is no doubt one of the best home use irons, but that is not what you only get from buying from Philips. Philips offer fantastic life cycle support for their products even when they fall out of warranty, as we experienced with an iron that we bought in 2016 that stppoed working, which for a nominal fee was restored to its former glory by replacing anythign and everything that needed replacemnet (all within the same fee). Not only that the customer support staff do come across as they genuinely care and want to help resolve your issue with minimal disruption and cost to the customer. I recommend philips to all for the variety of prodcuts they sell, which i have all over my house ranging from kitchen to bedroom and of course the impressive hue lights, if i were to pick my favourite. This is an impartial review and I have not been paid or provided any incentive from Philips for this review other than being asked to provide one. Keep it up Philips and i wish other big names would follow this service excellence that Philips have embedded into their business model.

I’m very impressed with this iron. This was replacement for a previous Philips steam generator iron that stopped working which was a good iron. But this one surpasses it. The steam produced is powerful and easily removes creases. I found with these irons it reduces your ironing time and makes it less of a chore . The iron glides over the clothing with ease. It’s comfortable to use, the iron itself isn’t heavy and the water container is easy to fill. I like the auto switch off as I have sometimes forgotten to turn the iron off. Having one temperature means you don’t have to sort your clothing out.

This is the best iron I’ve owned! It’s so easy to use and the large tank means that you don’t have to keep refilling it. The heat settings mean that it is easy to use for all materials - linen to denim. It is easy to clean too.

This steam generator iron was a big step up for me. This iron has everything that I was looking for all in one iron -- a lighter iron, but with a separate water container to lighten up the iron itself along with an even distribution of steam via the many steam holes and a narrower ironing tip that allows getting into smaller areas and more precision. I use this iron for everything a linens, crafts, clothes, etc. it cuts down ironing time dramatically. The water tank is really big, and despite the amount of steam, it seems to use little water. The tank can be filled with water at any time and water is quickly at temperature for ironing.

I am absolutely amazed at how powerful the Philips elite plus steam generator is! The first thing that caught my eye was how gorgeous this iron is. It's an absolute beauty! The main feature that makes this iron so unique is the DynamiQ smart sensor. It automatically detects how much steam is needed to remove deep creases from clothes. The water tank is detachable and hold a generous amount of water of 1.8 litres. I have noticed that the iron is quite thirsty, which is expected from something so powerful. Clothes will never burn, I can go from ironing silk to denim and creases are removed effectively. I'm so impressed. The iron is so lightweight and glides effortlessly over clothes. It's very quiet and heats up pretty much straight away. I tend to use the eco mode quite often, which is just as powerful as using in standard mode but uses less energy. Ironing has never been so enjoyable and it takes no time at all! It's very easy to decalc the iron, just make sure it's had time to cool down before attempting to descale! Overall this is a fabulous iron, best I've ever had! It's a must for all households!

On arriving I was very eager to get it on and start seeing the benefits of having a larger iron, Instructions very clear and simply to get started On switching on it was very clear to see that no steam releases until you press, Glides over any piece of clothing with ease, Very happy with the overall size and is compact this iron is, The lightweight iron is smooth and overall feel it would work on loads of different materials I for one will recommend having one of these as it’s great to use and very quick and takes out creases with ease

I am very pleased with the results of this iron. The steam is very powerful and removes creases instantly . My time spent ironing has halved as I’m able to get through ironing really quickly. Usually it takes me a few hours. Water tank only needs filling up the once and it can get through 5 loads without re-filling. The design of the iron is very modern and fits in with latest trends. I’m very pleased with this steam generator.

Honestly, I am so happy with this iron. The iron selects the temperature itself and I do not have to worry about it. I use it to iron a variety of clothing and haven’t burnt one item so far! It has an ambient blue light on it that flashes while the iron is heating up and is stable once the iron is ready for use. It is compact and the wires are easily stored in a compartment within the iron. It holds a good amount of water meaning you can iron without having to constantly refill the water compartment. The easy fill compartment allows you to refill the iron with ease and you do not have to wait to refill it, it can be refilled at any time. There is a lock on the iron which allows you to fix the iron to the water compartment once you have finished with it. This also allows you to safely carry the iron. There is a calk clean reminder feature on the iron which is great and the iron comes with a calk container that allows you to use the calk function effectively and safely. Overall this iron has made ironing quicker and simpler for me. I haven't had to do my ironing in any order of material type and my clothing has been crease free.

This iron has transformed my ironing experience! So much quicker as the steam is way more powerful than our old standard steam iron. I put the tank on the floor and the cable is plenty long enough to reach the whole surface of my ironing board (this is good as it meant I didn't need to buy a new one). It holds plenty of water so it only needs topping up every hour or so. I am so impressed with how quickly it gets up to temperature and is ready to use. The iron is extremely light so no more aching arm! I was very nervous about not having a temperature control but this does really work and I’ve not burnt an item of clothing. I can go through a large pile of ironing in no time at all. This iron is so good; it has cut my ironing time in half. I have king size cotton sheets which crease - this steam iron makes ironing them so much easier and faster. From now I love ironing! Highly recommend it!

I've never been a great lover of ironing, but it's something that needs to be done. So, when I saw this iron and all its innovative features, I had hope that this may help. I'm happy to report that my hopes were rewarded as this is an absolutely brilliant iron. I love the automated features. I didn't quite believe that the heat sensor would work, but I went from a pair of jeans to a thin blouse with no burning at all. I also really like the auto steam function which means you don't have to constantly push the steam button. Overall, very happy with this iron, I may become a fan of ironing yet!
