The perfect care steam generator iron is an absolute dream. Ironing is so much easier, quicker and the aftercare from Philips is excellent. I have had my steam generator for approx 9 months, I have almost halved my ironing time. I did have an issue that the calc clean stopped working but I contacted Philips who collected the iron next day and had it back to me the same week repaired and back to excellent condition. Yes they are pricey but you will never regret your decision. Take a leap get a steam generator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was most excited to have the opportunity to use my New Philips Steam Generator Iron. I have a lot of ironing in my household and often find myself spending many hours ploughing through often with some items still looking rather wrinkled with a standard iron. With the Steam Generator I found it very easy to use with outstanding results. Firstly the water reservoir holds a fantastic amount of water, I am not constantly refilling which is a major bonus and saves valuable time meaning I can get on with the job in hand. The initial start up is press of a button and sounds when ready to uses simple yet highly effective system The iron rapidly heats so no hanging around. It also will cut out automatically when not in use which is fantastic The temperature is self adjusting, so I don't need to be considering the fabric types and adjusting with a dial and am free of the worry that I may accidently burn items. The instruction manual is clear on what not use it on and very easy to follow, it is vital to take the time to read to ensure you get optimal performance. Performance level I was massively pressed to have successfully reduced my ironing time per session by over an hour. I was also significantly impressed in the fact that by using a steam generator creases were removed effectively quickly and easily from garments our clothing now looks as if we may have invested in a more professional service as opposed to a new iron being responsible. I like the fact that there is a smart calc-clean container and also a warning when it needs doing making the cleaning of the iron easier and the longevity of the iron better. Storage wise the water steam cord and power cable store neatly in the base which is brilliant as no reams of lose cables to try and store with a hot iron. The Steam generator Irons are bulky when it comes to storing after use due to the base so it is a consideration when purchasing bit the benefits of using one far outweigh the minor issue on the size. I would also say to be aware that the use of a steam Generator is a little noisy initially until you are used to it which is setting I think is unavoidable as a high volume of Steam is obviously generated. The first couple of uses in our houses it spooked our sleeping pets a bit who became a bit startled at this new louder noise along with my Autistic son who wasn't quite sure what the new noise was but they have all soon adjusted the more it has been used and particularly with my son now loves it as much as mean as his clothes look so good. I highly recommend the Philips Steam Generator Iron series so Yes, I would recommend this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best iron I have ever used . Impressive Phillips product, light weight, premium design and super easy to use. Takes two minutes to heat up but when its ready it works very quickly. This iron has powerful steam technology and the best part is you don't need to adjust the temperature ,its good to use on any fabric without worrying of burns. The cords are a good length for both electric and to the water supply. the water tank is easy to fill up and anti drip system is good to protect spilling the water on cloths. Great to remove all the wrinkles and creases with perfection and better than normal steam iron. This iron comes with a descaling tray and beeping sound to tell you when to do it. Overall I really like this iron and don't want to switch back to a regular steam iron .

After a lifetime of using only regular steam irons, it took some getting used to - especially as the steam trigger on the handle is very sensitive and only requires a slight press to give a powerful burst of steam. It removes stubborn creases with just one swipe of the iron, drastically reducing the time I spend ironing. The iron is very lightweight and comfortable to hold. I'm used to resting the iron upright on the ironing board, so I would have preferred a flat bottom design, but this isn't an issue since the iron can be placed flat on the ironing board without causing any burns. The automatic temperature setting is another time saver. Although I was initially apprehensive about using the iron on more delicate fabrics, it worked well on a variety of fabrics I tested without leaving any shine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best products I have tested it has cut down my ironing time massively I no longer burn any items as it’s pretty impossible to do with this item it removes creases fast. I will never go back to a cheap normal iron again
