I first wrote a review about this stem generator iron way back in March 2015 and thought I'd like to review again. I know that most people will buy such an item and want to be sure that it'll stand the test of time. Well, 3 years down the line and yes, it is still as good as it was the first time I used it. I think this is all thanks to its "Easy Calc Clean" feature, which tells you when it needs to have a clean. This is by far the best feature and one that, when the time comes, I will be demanding from now on. The iron itself is very comfortable to use, is lightweight and very quiet in use. The cord storage feature is a great idea and one that I am still surprised about, every time I use it. In fact, every time I use this iron I am pleasantly surprised! I was expecting a noisy beast, but I have been happily proven wrong. The only picky niggle (and I really am being picky!) - I felt the cables (electric cord and water pipe) could have been the other way around. But, that aside, it's a truly fantastic piece of kit that I plan on re-reviewing in another 3 years time!

This iron is so easy to use it defies belief. the water tank is a good useable size for a large load of ironing. It is effective in dealing with even the most creased clothing and the iron itself is ergonomic, being relatively light and easy to handle

I would like to thank philips home living for letting me review their fab iron. My iron got delivered and I couldn't wait to get it open to do some ironing and if you new me you'd know I'm not the biggest fan of doing the ironing. Got the iron out had a quick read of the Instructions that explained how to set up the iron. Armed with a basket of ironing. The iron didn't take long to warm up and I was away couldn't belive how good by his iron was it was a dream to iron jeans I got through my ironing In no time. So smooth to iron and don't have to worry about spending hours standing doing the ironing. The tank hold a lot of water too no back and for filling it up. The iron have cleaning system to clean the limescale from the iron that is really good. So hopefully the iron will have a longer life! I like how you can tuck the the iron code away when storing away. The only thing I think I was a little but disappointed was the power code was very long and could have been a little bit longer. Over all I would recommend Iron to anyone that Dose a lot of ironIng. I would like to thank philips home living again for letting me review they iron.

I loved testing this product. It is lightweight and irons quickly and with ease. I think the calc clean is an excellent addition and will prolong the life of this product for years. I like the size of the water tank and have never had to fill more than once per ironing. The carry lock makes for ease of lifting and storing this item. I would and have already recommended this product to family and friends and cannot speak highly enough of this fantastic iron.

In the time I have had the GC6625 Speed Care Steam Generator, I have used it on a daily basis. It is light, small, compact and I feel well balanced. It's a lot smaller than I expected a steam iron to be. I'm used to a large, heavy iron, but using the steam generator has changed my view on ironing and makes the task more enjoyable to do. I like the shape and look of this product and am well impressed.

I have used this product for the past month and I have grown to love this iron. I iron almost every day so it is important to me to have a good iron. At first I was a little bit dubious, I thought maybe the water tank could be bigger but actually it's a perfect size. One of my favourite things about this iron is that it is so quiet, I have used other steam generated irons and believe me they can be noisy and always at the wrong time. I don't normally use the low heat settings for silks etc as I find I get better results from hanging the garment and keeping the iron vertical and using the steam to take any creases out gives a lovely finish. The Calc Clean function is great and so easy to do, it certainly makes sure that you don't get any dirty brown water coming from you iron especially if you use a low heat setting, any water dribbles that rarely came from the iron were all clear. My only problem with the iron is the On/Off switch, on my ironing board I have a slightly raised bar on the iron rest for securing the iron, however, when I have this iron sitting on this and I am working away sometimes the switch switches off, if it was a little bit higher up this would completely solve the problem. I also found that when doing a lot of ironing the ironing board becomes very saturated with excess water, I'm not sure if this is common with most steam generated irons. Overall though I would go and purchase this iron anytime.

Having 4 children and a husband who apparently gets dirty for a living, I seem to have a never ending pile of ironing! This iron may have just saved my sanity. The time I spend being steamed over an ironing board has been cut dramatically and my loathing of this chore has declined to a dull dislike. It's lightweight, even when the water tank is completely full and it was a breeze to set up and understand with simple and clear instructions. Another plus point is the cal clean system, because to be honest who has time to remember to descale their iron?! All in all a definite winner with me!
