i love my ironing and i really recommend ;) fantastic product

First of all sorry for a late reply. Reason being i was away on holidays and therefore could not use the Iron. Last few days were however very productive to write a review as coming back from holidays, there was a massive pile of washing and later ironing. But as promised I set aside all that and took out my party clothes which are all silk, net or velvet/ plushy material all very delicate to iron. To be honest, i first tried the Philips iron on my one black dress which got burnt by my last iron for no fault of mine but because the nonstick coating on the iron had come off partly from it so the silk level setting also did not stop it. Anyhow I must say that this Philips Iron is like my dream come true. As I kept on ironing my different clothes it just amazed me how easily and smoothly it adjust itself from one material type to another and you do not have to worry about adjusting the heat level in between. As I am an Iron freak, having problems with ironing different material clothing and ruining some of my quite expensive clothes, I finally came to a solution and had three irons one for cotton/linen, one for silks/wools and one steam Iron for those net/velvet dresses that are impossible to iron by traditional way. This way although I didn't have to change settings very frequently( but still need to) but took much longer to iron and also took more space to store these irons. So my dream really used to be while ironing that I wish i can iron all my clothes easily gliding through one cloth to other without first sorting out different types making three piles then switching irons but always thought impossible. So Waoh! Hurrah! And Thumbs up! To Philips you have made my dream come true! No hassle no separate piles, no changing of setting, no trial on wrong side of cloth edge to wait and check the correct heat for the material. I iron wool then pick up cotton shirt than silk and in between no changing or waiting for iron to cool down go straight on those T-shirts/ hoodies of my kids that they so like because of some paint design infront without smudging it because of heat. Ah! and since then I am in love with my Philips iron so much that it seems that the gurgling noises and that funny steam sounds seems like talking to me and I enjoy all these sounds knowing that its telling me you relax and watch your favourite programme while i do the talking with your clothes. Finally for all those ladies or men who hate ironing I bet after using Philips Revolution Ultra compact Iron, it will totally change the perception of ironing. As the name suggests, it has definitely revolutionised my life and no doubt the ultra compact size has saved me from space problem and For sure! it will do the same to all people out there who hate or love Ironing. Finally Congratulations to Philips you did it! Much thanks best gift ever!

This model is stylish, compact, powerful and lightweight in comparison with traditional steam generators. The Eco button is a green plus. There is no fabric dial so you don't have change setting when moving from cotton to mixed fabric. It's easy to handle and to store as you don't have the separate tank associated with a traditional steam generator. It glides on all sort of fabrics, the steam delivery is generous and it's great on multi folded pieces (e.g., bed fitted sheet, duvet covers). The cord is easy to tidy and long enough when in use. Small by size and big results and time savings.

brilliant just brilliant no need to adjust settings switches off by itself if forgotten steam is super so easy to iron and saves alot of time and space.

I am extremely pleased with this excellent iron due to its built in steam pressure and temperature sensor. At first, I thought it would not be possible, for an iron to know the right temp. for the fabric, but having used it on sheets, shirts, jeans and t-shirts, I can confirm that it does what is says on the box. The benefit of the pressurised steam built-in means the iron is slightly heavier than you would expect, but somehow the weight works well when ironing as you find yourself not taking the iron off the garment as much as you would with a standard iron. I previously had a separate pressurised steam iron, and find the quality of ironing superior and easier to use. Switch on and then you are off. From a design perspective, I am not sure if the light was intentional as an ironing aid, but the iron lights up blue or green (depending on if ECO mode is on/off), and not only looks fab, but also helps you see what you are ironing. From a design perspective, Philips have truly made a device that looks fresh and innovative - which is a testament to the work that has gone into this iron. If you are moving from a standard steam iron to this pressurised steam iron, you will wonder how you coped without it. If you are moving from a 2 piece pressurised steam iron, you will be pleased that it does it all so much better, other than the need to refill the water tank a little more than you used to (hence the 4 stars for ease of use). It is without doubt the best iron to look at and use.

Writing this review after using the iron twice. I read the instructions and tested my water and knew what the outcome would be (hard) so using distilled water (boiled then allowed to cool). I did find this iron heavy at first but after second use was used to it as this was probably due to using lighter irons previously that I have used. I love ironing but have to say this made it so much easier as I did not have to keep changing the temperature for different types of clothing i.e. cotton, nylon etc. I have to say I was surprised by this feature of the iron but it has revolutionised my way of organising my ironing (I don't have to sort through items into different types). The iron constantly steams making creases easily ironed out making it quicker to do this. The iron has a long plug lead which is brilliant as not everyone has a plug socket handy (I guess depending on where you do your ironing). The water tank is bigger then other irons so no constantly topping up. The design of this iron is lovely, no dials to keep changing and the instructions make it so simple and easy to use. Best iron I've ever used and no more having to use starch to iron creases into my son's uniform trousers. Would I recommend this to others? I most definitely would.

Simple d'utilisation, pas besoin de régler des fonctions selon le linge que l'ont doit repasser. Une simplicité que j'adore. Le fer glisse parfaitement sur les vêtements. Un joli design et une bonne prise en main
